How voting works

The design is deliberately small. Small things get finished.

Read the question. Give it one honest second. The first lean is usually the true one.
Pick a side. Most questions are A or B. A third option would let you hide.
See the live split. The moment you vote, the room appears.
Sit with it. Notice whether you feel validated, surprised, or slightly exposed.
Reset if you need to. We would rather have your real answer than your first tap.

Why results show immediately

Delayed results turn a question into a performance. Instant results do the opposite. You answer first. Then you find out whether you are in company.

The meter shows how people on this site voted — today, on this question.

It does not mean “the world believes X,” or that the result is a scientific poll.

It means you are looking at a live crowd, and other humans hesitated on the same sentence you did.

One active answer per person, per question. You can change that vote. We use a basic browser signal to limit fake ballots.

Newest is the recent questions in order.
Most votes is where the crowd already gathered.
Neither list is “more true.”

Some questions may poke a value you care about. That is not an attack. Skip a day if you want. No question here is a loyalty test.

Is this a scientific poll?: No. Read the split as a room, not a census of the world.
Can I change my vote?: Yes. Use Reset my vote when that button is shown.
Why only two options?: A third choice is where people hide. Two sides make you lean.
Why do I see results right away?: So you answer before the crowd can talk you into a performance.
What if I dislike the question?: Skip it. Come back tomorrow.
